Military Grade Assault Weapons??

I saw something similar to this on Facebook the other day, so I thought I'd do a blog post on it!

This is an AR-15. This rifle has never been used by any military in the world for combat since it's introduction in the late 1950's! It's first cousins, the AR-16 and M-4 ARE military weapons, but they are banned from civilian possession. Yet it is deemed highly lethal, should not be possessed by the public, and calls for it to be banned go on ad nauseum, simply because of it's appearance.

This is a Remington Model 870 Shotgun. It has been used in combat by at least 23 different countries since it's introduction in 1951.  It can hold up to 11 rounds in it's tubular magazine, and is a pump action, not a semi automatic!.

A shotgun like this was used in the Santa Fe high school shooting, not an AR-15! Where is the outcry from the left to ban these! A gun used by hundreds of thousands of Americans for hunting every year, as is the AR-15.

So which one is the real Military Grade Assault Weapon? Hypocrisy with a capital "H"!

  1. Below is a partial list of shooting where the AR-15 (as a generic term for all guns of similar design) where used.

    - The Las Vegas slaughter of 58 people last October.

    - The Sutherland Springs, Texas, church shooting that claimed 26 lives in November.

    - The Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Fla., that left 49 dead in 2016.

    - The San Bernardino, Calif., shooting that killed 14 people in 2015.

    - The shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut that took 27 lives in 2012.
