I was sitting in my recliner last night watching "Special Report" with Bret Baier on Fox News. Steve Hayes, who writes for the "Weekly Standard" magazine was on the panel. The discussion was about the oil well in the Gulf of Mexico finally being capped. The interesting part was that Steve mentioned that the idea for the cap came from an anonymous plumber who, sent the idea, in a sketch, to an Engineer, at a California University, who was working on the problem.
Think about that! We have government and BP scientists and engineers (you know the "experts") working on this for close to ninety days and they came up with nothing. If this isn't a classic example of American exceptionalism, spirit, and ingenuity, as compared to the Government, I don't know what is. The government didn't have a clue on how to fix this, but they want to run our lives.
I wonder if it was "Joe the plumber"
Guys who turn wrenches for a living are usually the best at solving problems. We know how to trouble shoot, analyze and repair.
