File Under: "You Can't Make This Stuff Up"

The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is starting to come ashore in some of the Louisiana marshes. It will turn out to be the worst environmental disaster to ever occur in this country. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is desperately trying to get Federal permission to build sand bridges or berms offshore to keep the oil out of the marshes. The permits are being held up because the agency has to study whether the berms will harm the environment. He has yet to get the permission because the government agency responsible for granting the permit is:
